Thank you for your support of the first round of our studio re-opening.
We’re excited to share that we have will open the Ajax location on Monday, July 27, 2020.
We have opened with:
- reduced capacity + focused programming
- increased cleaning
- updated safety procedures
- updated reservation, cancellation and waitlist policies.
Advanced bookings are required and open for reservations.
Before you can reserve for a class:
5, 10 and 20 class passes are active. You do NOT need to reactive these.
If you were on a Bliss Pass, you will need to re-activate it. We have created 3 levels of passes to meet your needs. You will need to reactivate your Bliss membership unless you maintained it for livestream classes. Reactivate Bliss Now
If you reserve, but can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation online more than 12 hours before your class to allow another guest the opportunity to practice. Please note, you can NOT cancel after 12 hours of class starting. You will lose that class pass if you do not cancel within this time.
We are operating at limited capacity and this allows us to ensure our classes follow social distancing and we are serving students the best way can.

Standards of Health
The safest experience for everyone is the one that is co-created with you.
As has always been the case, we remain committed to maintaining our high standards of health and hygiene, but we need your help too.
W H A T W E ‘ R E D O I N G
Mandatory health screening & etiquette
Health screening for guests, teachers and team members is required. Only those who meet requirements and follow mandatory safety guidelines are permitted.
If you show any signs of illness while present in the studio (for example, coughing) or you do not follow our safety protocols, we will ask you to leave.
Reduced capacity & focused programming
Capacities reduced to give the required 6 feet space in between each mat. Markers identify where to place your mat. We’re offering select styles as part of this first phase. Focused programming allows more time in between classes for increased cleaning.
High touch areas are regularly and thoroughly cleaned using a hospital grade disinfectant that is known to kill viruses. Classroom floors and high touch areas like switches and handles will be disinfected after each class. Team members will wear gloves when cleaning.
Protection of staff
Barriers will be installed around the sign in station. We’ve provided optional gloves and face masks for team members. Teams have been provided with additional health, safety and personal hygiene training prior to working in the studio.
No props will be available and programming will be offered with this in mind.
Tea service and lounge remain closed.
Tea service, mat rental and props are temporarily discontinued.
At this time, our boutiques are closed during our studio hours. Please contact email@example.com for support with purchasing from our boutique. We would love to help you select props, gear & apparel that you can purchase in advance and pick up before class, or curbside.

Personal Protective Equipment Masks are required for all public and commercial spaces in Durham Region as such all students must practice with a face mask.

At this point in time, all Bliss pass memberships will remain paused until you contact us to reactivate.
As a bonus, if you choose to reactivate your 1 month, annual, builders or month-to-month membership, we’re including free Zoom live streamed classes as part of your membership until August 31, 2020.

Please stay at home if you are in any of the following situations. Guests, team members and teachers in any of these situations will not be permitted to enter Balanced Life Yoga.
We’ll happily welcome you back after a period of self-isolation.
Have Symptoms of COVID-19
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, self-isolate at home for a minimum of 14 days.
Instructed by Health Official
If you have been given direction by a provincial health officer to self-isolate, follow those instructions.
Been Outside of Canada
If you have arrived from outside of Canada, or have had contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days and monitor for symptoms.
One thing this unpredictable experience has taught us is remaining adaptable and open to fine tuning allows us to better serve you.

If you are moved from the wait list to the class, you will receive an auto-email from our booking system and will be responsible for either attending class or cancelling with more than 12 hours notice. We will no longer be accepting walk-ins, due to limited class capacity.
If your class is outside of the 12 hour cancellation window and you’re next on the wait list, you’ll be added to class automatically if someone cancels. Once you’re added, our cancellation policy applies.
