Mindful Kids Yoga + Play Workshops with Certified Kids Yoga Teacher Kathia
Calling all junior yogis!
Join Kathia, our certified Kids Yoga teacher as she brings you fun and engaging workshops designed to introduce kids aged 4-7 to the beautiful practices of Yoga and Mindfulness. This is a unique opportunity to introduce children to easy-to-use breathing techniques and simple yoga poses for strength, balance, and relaxation. During these one-hour sessions, junior yogis will participate in safe, creative sequences, taught through adventure stories. They will use their imaginations to travel the world and meet lots of friends along the way – including warriors, mermaids, and even friendly cobras!
Each workshop has its own unique take-home gift that our junior yogis will get to make

October 1st: eye pillow
October 22nd: mandala art
November 5th: lotus flower art
December 17th: gratitude trees

Kathia was drawn to Yoga not only for its physical benefits but also for the mental and emotional victories as well.
You will often hear her say that Yoga changed her life and she means it! When presented with the opportunity to become a teacher, she accepted it as an invitation to share this beautiful practice with as many people as possible. Since completing her RYT-300, she has added certifications in Yin and Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for Beginners and Kids Yoga.
She is super excited and appreciative to be working towards her RYT-500 via our Teaching Mastery certificate and has embraced her role in the Balanced Life community. Kathia is a big believer of taking victories on the mat into the rest of the world. If you can be brave on the mat, you can be brave out there too!
When she isn’t leading our Mindful Kids – Yoga + Play Classes, you can catch her spending time with her husband who is often recruited to try out new sequences that Kathia is working on.
